Tom stumbled into the staffing industry when he accepted a position with one of the area’s largest staffing companies after one too many downturns in the oil field. He enjoyed matching good workers with good employers and found a new career.
In 1995 Tom and Mark Fassett started All Trades with a focus on providing tradesmen and support laborers to the construction and heavy manufacturing industries.
His diverse work history including construction, manufacturing, steel forging, automobile assembly, geology, and oil field work prepared him for helping his customers and employees across a broad spectrum of work. Tom has been in the staffing industry since 1987.
Besides work, Tom’s favorite activities include exploring, camping, hiking, skiing, climbing, canyoneering, and just about any outdoor activity with his family, friends, and wife, Valerie.
Mark Fassett – Partner
Growing up, my dad was a carpenter & a very hard worker. He instilled in me the importance of both of those abilities. I have been working and gaining experience in the construction trades since I was twelve years old.
After graduating high school, my first 2 jobs were in factory mfg & warehousing. I spent the following 15 years in & around assorted construction, blue collar-related fields.
As well as some college & vocational training, including electrical & plumbing, not only learning “how to” but also learning the disciplines it takes both physically & mentally of working day after day, knowing the pitfalls & dangers of different work environments. And certainly respecting those who are able to do it.
AFTER WORKING FOR A TEMPORARY SERVICE FOR 5 YEARS AND LEARNING THE BUSINESS, me & my boss partnered in our own temporary service specializing in what we know – construction & steel shop mfg. I have spent the last 15 years using the experiences I gained in those fields by placing others into similar positions. Being aware of the needs of each & every job.
