All Trades has a complete application and orientation program that will answer all of your questions when you come in to apply with us. However, here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Can I apply online?
Yes, All Trades Temp Service now has an online application or you can download and print our application and bring it in filled out. However, all applicants must provide appropriate identification, proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, interview with one of our staff and pass a short quiz. What kind of work do you have?
We are a full service staffing company with special expertise in the construction, manufacturing and industrial environments.
How old do I have to be to work at All Trades?
Do I need a vehicle?
No. However, a vehicle will enable you to be offered more assignments as many assignments are time sensitive and/or difficult to reach without a vehicle.
How much do you pay?
The pay is dependent on your skill level, experience, tools, and related factors. We will tell you the specific hourly wage for each new assignment. You will have the opportunity to deny or accept each assignment.
What do you take out of my checks?
Payroll taxes as determined by Federal, State and local requirements or court ordered garnishments.
How often can I get paid?
We pay daily if desired. Most employees get paid weekly.
How do I get paid?
You will need to present us with an authorized and completed time slip from a client representative where you had worked . We use Global Cash Card services for your payout. —www.globalcashcard.com — This is a fast convenient service that expedites pay out. If you require a paper check you can receive a cut check on Friday each week during afternoon check cutting hours.
Do I need tools?
If you want work within a specific trade or skill then you will need the tools appropriate for that trade or skill.
Do I have to stay at a job I do not like?
No. However, unless it is a safety consideration you will need to complete the shift you are on then inform our office that you do not want to return to that job assignment.
Do I have to go to your office to get work?
No. Once you have completed the application and orientation assignment you may report your availability and accept assignments via phone. We are working on a text and email system as well.
What do I do if I am sick or otherwise cannot make it to a job?
We expect as much notification as possible but require at least one hour’s notice. Call our office and explain the situation. If it is after hours or all lines are busy PLEASE leave a message.
Can I find a permanent job through All Trades?
Yes. Many of our employees find permanent work through us. We have agreements with our customers that they will use you 320 hours through our service before offering you a position with their company.
How much will I work in a week?
That depends on many factors not the least of which is your attitude, skill, transportation, work ethic, willingness and weather, and professionalism.
Do I get paid overtime?
Yes. Our work week is From 12:01am Monday through Sunday midnight. Any work over 40 hours within that time frame will be at standard overtime rates of 1.5 your normal hourly wage.
Do I need to have my P.P.E. ( Personal Protective Equipment ) to go to work?
Yes. We at All Trades Staffing take safety very seriously. It is mandatory for you to have a Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Vest and Work Boots before you will be dispatched to any of our jobs here at All Trades. If you do not have P.P.E. , we will be happy to provide you with it. We do not provide boots. Any employees of All Trades that arrive at a job site without their P.P.E. will be paid minimum wage for that day.
